In 1818, at the request of Chilean leader Bernardo O’Higgins, Cochrane was appointed Vice Admiral, and took command of the Chilean Navy in Chile’s war of independence against Spain. He was the first Vice Admiral of Chile Cochrane reorganized the Chilean navy, introducing British naval customs, and recruit British Captains to command the incipient Chilean Navy.

The Spanish defend his possessions in a period of decadence of the navy, but make the best of his ships with a shortage of resources.

We include in the supplement the Spanish ship of the line San Telmo, a 74 gun that was wrecked in the Cape Horn, en route to Chile in 1819.

En 1818 a petición del líder chileno Bernardo O’Higgins, Cochrane fue nombrado Vice Almirante y tomo el mando de la Armada Chilena en la Guerra de Independencia contra España. Fue el primer Vice Almirante de la Armada Chilena. Cochrane organizo la Armada Chilena introduciendo los usos y costumbres de la Royal Navy, y reclutó capitanes británicos para la incipiente Armada Chilena.

Los españoles defendieron sus posesiones en un período de decadencia de la Real Armada, hicieron lo mejor que pudieron frente a la escasez de recursos.

Incluimos en el suplemento el navío español San Telmo, un 74 cañones que naufragó en el Cabo de Hornos, en ruta hacia Chile, en 1819.

Estamos trabajando en el nuevo suplemento de Capitán,”Libertadores” ; con este nuevo suplemento podrás jugar con unidades del ejército español, o realistas y con unidades de Patriotas del Ejército de los Andes, para recrear las batallas de la campaña de Chile de 1817-1818, de las Guerras de Emancipación de Hispanoamérica.

The “wargamers” are distinguished between those who play simulation games with miniatures and the  boardgamers. In CapitanGames we offer you the chance to play both ways with the same rules, we must make some adjustments to the general rules to play in CAPITAN in a hexed board and make it a board game.

The hexagonal game board, may not be as flexible as the game on scenery, but it is more accurate in the calculation of distances and terrain effects, and obviously takes up less space. All this has encouraged us to do this supplement.

Los “Wargamers” suelen diferenciarse entre los que juegan a juegos de simulación con figuras y los que juegan a juegos de tablero. En CAPITANGAMES te ofrecemos la posibilidad de jugar de las dos formas con las mismas reglas, eso si, se deben hacer adaptaciones a las reglas generales para poder jugar en tablero hexagonado y convertir a CAPITAN en un juego de tablero.

El juego en tablero hexagonado, puede que no sea tan flexible como el juego sobre escenografía, pero es más preciso a la hora del cálculo de distancias y efectos del terreno, y evidentemente ocupa menos espacio.

Ya tienes tu “Squad Leaader” napoleónico.

Tu escojes, puedes jugar sobre tablero con miniaturas ( como las de 15mm.) o con fichas.
